About Us

The 9th Masonic District Convention is composed of the lodges located in the North-Eastern area of Georgia and is made of the 64 constituent lodges located within that area as described in Section 61-101 of the Masonic Code of Georgia. The 9th Masonic District Convention operates under the authority granted by the Grand Lodge of Georgia Free and Accepted Masons.

The 9th Masonic District Convention has an annual meeting on the fourth Saturday in September at 9:00 AM. The location of this meeting is within the 9th Masonic District and is determined at the prior year annual meeting.

Presence

The 9th Masonic District is the Northeastern most district in Georgia. It is compromised of the following 18 counties:

Banks, Barrow, Cherokee, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Gilmer, Gwinnett, Hall, Hambersham, Jackson, Lumpkin, Pickens, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White

The purpose of this Convention is to dispense Masonic knowledge; to acquaint the Lodges with the District and Grand Lodge of Georgia programs; and to promote fraternal unity between the Lodges in the District.
