The 9th Masonic District Convention is composed of the lodges located in the North-Eastern area of Georgia and is made of the 64 constituent lodges located within that area as described in Section 61-101 of the Masonic Code of Georgia. The 9th Masonic District Convention operates under the authority granted by the Grand Lodge of Georgia Free and Accepted Masons.

The 9th Masonic District Convention has an annual meeting on the fourth Saturday in September at 9:00 AM. The location of this meeting is within the 9th Masonic District and is determined at the prior year annual meeting.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the 9th Masonic District Convention is:

  • To dispense Masonic knowledge
    • Assist and promote Masonic Education Leadership Development Courses
    • Assist the District Custodians with scheduling District Schools of Instruction
  • To acquaint the member Lodges with District and Grand Lodge of Georgia programs
    • Assist the District Deputies to the Grand Master and Grand Lodge Officers when necessary to assist member lodges.
    • Assist with plans and programs to promote the best interest of Masonry in Georgia
  • To promote fraternal unity between the lodge in the district
    • Participate in fraternal visits to member lodges.
    • Assist with events within the district to promote more cohesive fellowship among member lodges.
